Power stations, district heating plants and similar use very pure water in order to minimise corrosion. The very high impedance of such water presents some very special problems that the OxyGuard Pure Water pH Analyzer solves completely.
A pH measurement is in itself a high impedance measurement. Very pure water also has high impedance. To measure pH in such water therefore entails the accurate measurement of millivolts in an extremely high impedance circuit.
Other problems are caused by obtaining an accurate and stable reference connection to the process water. Water flow past the electrodes is another factor that can contribute to error.
