OxyGuard Handy hand-held oxygen meters have proved their worth all over the world since 1989, when the introduction of the OxyGuard Handy Mk I represented a revolution in practical measuring instruments. Before then, hand-held DO meters were expensive, fragile, slow and could not withstand getting wet.
The Handy Mk I corrected all this. It could also float! Other instruments followed - all popular, and all with very long lifetimes. OxyGuard still repair Mk I instruments. The new cylindrical design introduced in 1997 proved very popular, and is still used. The Handy Polaris is a versatile instrument that combines features of several predecessors at a very affordable price. The Handy Delta includes a data logging facility.
In addition to these there is the Handy Atmosphere, for measuring modified atmosphere packaging gas, and the Handy pH. These two instruments use similar transmitter technology to the Polaris to give exceptional ease of use. Just like the Polaris, the user can choose the language that the meter uses.
Another hand-held product is the Refractometer. This simple unit makes it easy to determine the salt content of the water, which is important if you measure in saline waters and want to know how many mg/l oxygen is dissolved.
